About
The practitioner
behind the practice.
Agentsia is built and run by one person — on purpose. Here is who that person is, and why that is a feature, not a caveat.
Robert Schell
Founder & Principal
Chicago area, IL
I'm Robert Schell — a data scientist and ML engineer who has spent a decade building things that work, not decks about things that might.
My background spans industrial engineering (NC State) and a master's in data science from Northwestern. Most of my career was spent in regulated, high-stakes environments — medical device development at Baxter International, where I built NLP-driven complaint management systems, fine-tuned transformer models on 100,000+ clinical records, and designed ensemble classifiers for FDA adverse event detection. That's the kind of work where you can't hand-wave the details.
I started Agentsia because small business owners are drowning in the same recurring work — chasing leads, triaging inboxes, scheduling, proposals — while the tools built for that work are either enterprise-priced or template-shallow. So I built a roster of named agents and pointed them at the hardest test I had: my own business. Rex fills my pipeline. Aria drafts my customer replies. Nova books my calls. Sage generates and sends my proposals. Echo watches my reputation. Nothing on the Services page is a demo — it runs my company first.
I'm not an agency. I don't subcontract. You get me — a decade of production ML experience, a habit of shipping systems that hold up, and agents I trust with my own name before I offer them under yours. Every setup is human-in-the-loop by default: your agents draft, you approve.
Outside of work, I'm a former NCAA Division I wrestler (NC State), a father of four, and a volunteer coach for Odyssey of the Mind. I believe the same principles that make a good data scientist make a good coach — ask better questions, don't assume you know the answer, and let the problem tell you what it needs.
Background
Oct 2025 – Present
Building agentic AI applications — Txt2SQL systems, RAG pipelines, and LLM orchestration with LangChain/LangGraph, FastAPI, and React. Market mix and promotional lift models for marketing analytics. AWS cloud infrastructure for scalable, containerized model deployment.
May 2022 – Present
Independent AI practice, now productized as a roster of named AI agents for small business — lead generation, customer communications, scheduling, proposals, and reputation monitoring — every one of which runs my own business before it runs yours.
Jun 2021 – Mar 2025
NLP-driven complaint management at scale (30K+ monthly records). Fine-tuned transformers on 100K+ domain-specific records for automated evaluation. Ensemble classifiers for FDA adverse event detection. RAG-based knowledge systems and network graph models for supplier relationship mapping.
Dec 2018 – Jun 2021
Exploratory analysis on multimodal clinical and device telemetry data to identify performance patterns and failure modes. Automated ETL pipelines reducing manual data preparation from days to minutes. Interactive dashboards for clinical and engineering stakeholders.
2015 – 2018
Analytics & modeling specialization focused on applied ML and data-driven storytelling. Completed while working full-time, building on an industrial engineering foundation in statistics, probability, and systems analysis.

Working With Me
First agent deployment
Pick the workflow that eats the most of your week — lead follow-up, inbox triage, scheduling — and I scope one named agent to it. Live in days, with you approving everything it sends.
Monthly roster plan
A tailored monthly plan covering the agents you actually use, tuned to your tone and tools, with direct access to the person who built them.
Advisory / custom builds
For workflows outside the standard roster: a decade of production ML experience applied to your specific problem, from assessment through shipped system.
Legal entity
The public site and offerings are provided by Artificial Intelligentsia, LLC, doing business as Agentsia. For privacy practices, see the Privacy Policy; for general terms, see the Terms of Service.
